ORDERING

Dress Size Chart

As we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase it is important to establish your correct measurements before ordering. This can easliy be done by following the simple steps below.

BUST: Place the tape around the fullest part of the bust whilst standing as naturally as possible.

WAIST: Measuring your natural waistline is easy. Just place the tape around the narrowest part of your tummy (without breathing in!)

HIPS: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part.

LENGTH: This is taken from the base of the back of the neck to the floor. If you are intending to wear high heels with the garment then measure the length with them on.

When ordering please take into account that alterations to dresses like these are often necessary to obtain the perfect fit. It is recommended that you get a professional dressmaker to carry this out.

You may order online, by emailing: info@coopersladieswear.co.uk, by telephoning 01209 313734, faxing 08707 052004 or alternatively you can make an appointment and purchase directly from the premises.

DRESS CARE

When you receive your gown it will have been fully quality inspected and steamed but will of course incurred some creasing from packaging and posting. Unpack it as soon as possible and hang in a warm room to allow creasing to drop out. If any creasing has not gone within a couple of days it can be placed in a steamy bathroom, which in effect will steam it for you. Take care not to get the gown wet. Always follow the care label and if professional steaming is necessary always use a reputable dry cleaner who is used to working with special occassion wear and should offer a pressing or steaming service which will not damage the embelishments on the gown.

Some common points to note are that ocassionally you will have the odd loose bead or sequin which should be secured as soon as it is noticed using the spare beads or sequins that are supplied with the gown. These are usually attached using a long thread so that many can be attached at one time and securing them immediately prevents further bead loss. Any stains should also be removed as soon as possible. Always have the gown cleaned if it is stained after use if you intend storing it as storing it dirty will ruin it.

Use of a suitable garment cover will also keep the gown looking its best and extend its life and you will find various types of cover available when you purchase your gown or on our accessories page.

Alterations are often necessary for the perfect fit where special ocassion wear is concerned (usually length) and it is advisable to use a reputable seamstress for the job. We alter garments bought directly from our premises and guarantee that they are correct before leaving the premises. If you have any queries regarding alterations we are more than happpy to help.
